Peel bananas before freezing
Do you ever manage to eat all the bananas you'd bought before they go black? No, me neither. There are always a couple of overripe, shame-to-throw-away, yellow-gone-black ones.
Freeze! Frozen bananas will be as good as fresh for baking all sorts of cakes, muffins and breads. They will also make a fantastic breakfast, chucked frozen into a blender with a handful of oats and some cow or almond milk. The secret is very simple - peel them before freezing, otherwise you'll have trouble getting them out of the skins when thawed, and they'll go unappetisingly squidgy.
