How to prepare salad ahead of serving and keep it fresh?
The easiest way to prepare salad ahead and keep it fresh is to make the dressing in the bowl you will be serving the salad.
Example of a very basic, easy vinaigrette:
1 tsp mustard, 1 tsp honey, 2 tsp lemon juice, 1 tsp white vinegar, 5 tsp olive oil. Whisk with a sauce whisk at the bottom of the salad serving bowl. Pile the washed salad leaves and other salad ingredients on top.
Toss the salad in the dressing just before serving.
